Ryan Loofbourrow concentrates his practice in business and civil litigation.

Professional Biography


Mr. Loofbourrow represents clients in state and federal courts throughout Tennessee. He has conducted trials in the general sessions and circuit courts, prevailed on summary judgment on business litigation disputes and motions to dismiss at both the state and federal levels in breach of contract cases and tort cases, and negotiated favorable settlements at all levels.

Prior to private practice and on completion of law school, Mr. Loofbourrow completed a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Waverly D. Crenshaw, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. He also clerked for the Honorable Jerome T. Kearney of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas and for the Honorable Royce Taylor of the 16th Circuit Court in Tennessee, Division Four.

  • Defended a tractor-trailer company and its driver in a wreck case.

  • Defended against tortious interference of a contractual relations claim.

  • Defended a breach of contract claim in a $60 million master services agreement.

  • Guided an internal investigation of officers alleged to have used inflated projections to defraud investors.

  • Defended former executives from breach of fiduciary duty allegations.

  • Defended a tenant from commercial eviction.

  • Defended a data breach case.

  • Defended LLC members from member-profiting off interested transactions.

  • Defended a fraud and conversion case.

  • Negotiated a rent and access agreement for a holdover property owner after sale.

  • Successfully protested request for proposals for a municipality's street repaving contract.
