Professional Biography


Ms. Denney is an associate in Baker Donelson's Nashville office and a member of the Health Law Group. She assists a range of health care organizations with corporate and compliance matters. Her clients include hospitals, physician-owned practices, long-term care facilities, behavioral health facilities, clinical laboratories, and medical device companies.

Ms. Denney assists clients with various corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and other forms of corporate restructuring. She advises clients on related regulatory issues that arise from corporate practice of medicine restrictions and approval requirements by state and federal regulatory bodies.

Outside of corporate transactions, Ms. Denney also assists clients with their compliance programs, including compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and federal and state fraud and abuse laws. Additionally, Ms. Denney advises clients on licensing requirements for a variety of medical provider types and forms of care. She stays informed of and frequently produces educational materials on new regulations that impact the health care industry generally, with a particular focus on privacy rights and behavioral health services.
