Baker Donelson's George T. "Buck" Lewis Elected Fellow of American Academy of Appellate Lawyers

George T. "Buck" Lewis of Baker Donelson has been elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.

Mr. Lewis, a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Memphis office and chair of the Firm's Appellate Practice Litigation Group, was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (AAAL) on April 7 at the AAAL's spring meeting. Membership is by invitation only and is reserved for experienced appellate advocates who have demonstrated the highest skill level and integrity.

Founded in 1990, the AAAL was created to advance the administration of justice and promote the highest standards of professionalism and advocacy in appellate courts. Membership is limited to 500 members in the United States. To be eligible for membership, a nominee must have a minimum of 15 years practice in appellate law. Candidates must be nominated by an AAAL Fellow, vetted and approved by a membership evaluation committee, and elected at a regular meeting.
