Baker Donelson Cybersecurity Accelerator Adds Anti-Phishing Innovator Gyomo

Baker Donelson Cybersecurity Accelerator announces the addition of its newest participant: Gyomo, an innovator in anti-phishing solutions. Gyomo is the fourth company to join the program.

Established in 2016, Gyomo offers a novel crowdsourcing + gamification + machine learning approach for protecting companies from phishing attacks. Through just-in-time training using the real phishing emails that already slip through the network, Gyomo enhances and then leverages the collective intelligence of employees in an enterprise to stop phishing attacks right at the point of click. Employees don't just learn about or report phishing attacks; they actually stop them in their tracks before anyone is compromised: employees become active participants in the defense of the network. The distributed nature of Gyomo's crowd-sourced and machine learning solution allows threat response to occur significantly faster than in traditional security models. No longer is security the enemy of productivity.

"Gyomo is excited to be selected to join the Baker Donelson Cybersecurity Accelerator," said Quincy Acklen, CEO and VP of Engineering at Gyomo. "We value the tight-knit mentor relationships at the heart of the Baker Donelson Cybersecurity Accelerator. Baker Donelson has cultivated a cybersecurity ecosystem with mentors, corporate relationships and a commitment to entrepreneurship that can propel Gyomo into the marketplace."

"We're pleased to welcome Gyomo as the fourth participant in our program," said Justin Daniels, the co-chair of the Baker Donelson Cybersecurity Accelerator and Baker Donelson's Atlanta Emerging Companies Group. "The growth our accelerator has experienced is evidence of Atlanta's increasing role as a global hub for cybersecurity. We're committed to working with Gyomo and our other participants to build on the city's cyber leadership, which will be featured during the inaugural Atlanta Cyber Week in October."

Gyomo joins the three current participants in the accelerator: Galaxkey, which offers cloud, email and content security solutions; Authomate, which offers a patented, cloud-based identity and access management solution that is accessed via a smartphone application; and RaceIQ, which offers cybersecurity software for the automotive market to detect and mitigate vehicle data hacks, malware and virus uploads.
