Baker Donelson Continues to Grow Raleigh Presence with the Addition of Corporate Attorney Scott Bowers

The national law firm of Baker Donelson continues to grow its Raleigh/Research Triangle, North Carolina, office with the addition of Scott Bowers, a shareholder in the Firm's Corporate Group.

"We're thrilled to add Scott to our team as we continue to grow Baker Donelson's presence in Raleigh and across the Carolinas," said Matthew W. Wolfe, managing shareholder of Baker Donelson's Raleigh/Research Triangle office. "Scott has an insightful and practical approach to navigating complex transactions that ensures his clients' strategic objectives are fully realized. His perspective and skill have proven invaluable to his clients and will be a tremendous asset to our transactional practice in the Carolinas and nationally."

Mr. Bowers concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, commercial real estate development, and renewable energy project development and finance. In handling his clients' most complex transactions, he often assembles and leads multidisciplinary and cross-border deal teams, and coordinates work streams across varied legal specialties in tandem with other professional service providers, such as investment bankers, M&A strategic advisors, external tax and accounting advisors, civil engineers, architects, and project managers.

While his practice is most active in the medical device manufacturing, industrial commercial real estate development, renewable energy project development, and logistics software development industries, Mr. Bowers also has extensive experience in education, agricultural, and nationally franchised restaurant and retail spaces. He regularly interacts with C-level executive teams, boards, and equity and debt capital sponsors from private equity, venture capital, and conventional lending backgrounds. His practice, which is global in scope, has included the representation of international clients in United States in-bound acquisitions and strategic transactions, and a number of United States-based clients in transactions centered in China, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, as well as transactions involving subsidiary operations in regions such as Southeast Asia and Latin America.

A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, Mr. Bowers is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in Corporate Law and has been recognized among Business North Carolina magazine's "Legal Elite."

Baker Donelson's Raleigh/Research Triangle office was launched in 2021 when a team of respected and recognized health law attorneys joined the Firm. It has since expanded to include attorneys experienced in additional areas, including financial services, energy, commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions, commercial litigation, and general corporate advice and counsel.
