Angie Davis of Baker Donelson Appointed to ABA Labor & Employment Law Section Leadership Roles

Angie Davis, a shareholder in the national law firm of Baker Donelson, has been appointed to two leadership roles within the American Bar Association (ABA) Labor and Employment Law Section. She has been named a member of the Council for the Labor and Employment Law Section and co-chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee, which concentrates on all aspects of equal employment opportunity under federal and state law in both private and public employment.

Ms. Davis, who is chair of Baker Donelson's Labor & Employment Group and an attorney in the Memphis office, partners with clients on all aspects of employment issues, including internal or state/federal investigations involving claims of whistleblowing, harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour issues. She also regularly represents clients involved in litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country, as well as before the Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

A Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, Ms. Davis is a member of the Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Women Attorneys. She serves as a member of the board of directors of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Memphis.

Ms. Davis has been recognized in Chambers USA since 2016 as a leading practitioner in Labor & Employment Law in Tennessee, and she has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2011. She was named the Best Lawyers® Employment Law – Management "Lawyer of the Year" in Memphis for 2023 and 2019 and the Best Lawyers Litigation – Labor and Employment "Lawyer of the Year" for 2022. Mid-South Super Lawyers has recognized her among the top 50 female attorneys in the Mid-South, the top 50 Memphis attorneys, and the top 100 Tennessee attorneys.
