Based in the Firm's Birmingham office, Ms. Simon directs all aspects of the Firm's recruiting efforts and supports the Firm's diversity and inclusion initiatives. As director, she serves as the Firm's primary contact for law schools, search firms and industry organizations, and helps identify, recruit, hire and develop attorneys at all levels of their careers, from summer and first-year associates to lateral hires with years of experience.
Ms. Simon oversees all of the Firm's summer associate programs, manages the on-campus interviewing and fall recruitment programs, conducts lateral attorney recruiting efforts, and manages the diversity scholarship program for all of the Firm's 23 offices. With more than 19 years of recruiting experience at the Firm, she formulates, administers and maintains recruiting policies, operational procedures and practices consistent with the goals and objectives of Baker Donelson. She serves on the Firm's Diversity and Diversity Scholarship Committees and BakerPride, the Transition Taskforce and the Affinitas Committee. Ms. Simon is also involved in the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and is a member of the NALP Diversity and Experienced Professionals sections.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms. Simon is involved in numerous community activities including Habitat for Humanity, Stop Hunger Now, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham. She is a member of the Junior League of Birmingham and Junior Women's Committee of 100.
