Lori Patterson’s career has come full circle. Fresh out of law school in 1997, Patterson began a clerkship with federal appeals court Judge John C. Godbold. In 1999, she settled in at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC, where she was mentored by influential professionals in her field.
In 2003, Patterson followed one of those mentors, Allan Wade, to establish Allan J. Wade PLLC, where she stayed for five years.
She rejoined Baker Donelson in 2008 as of counsel.
Now, Patterson is a shareholder at Baker Donelson, and although she is still learning new things, she has become the mentor to younger attorneys at her firm.
“We’ve got some really great associates at Baker Donelson,” Patterson said. “I was fortunate to have attorneys with more experience to mentor me and train me, and I have great peer lawyers who I practice with daily. We share work together, we all have young families and we really support each other. Now, I have the chance to work with new and young attorneys with fresh energy and fresh ideas. I enjoy that.”
At Baker Donelson, Patterson concentrates in the areas of securities litigation and litigation involving government entities.
But don’t pigeonhole her. She’s very adamant about staying educated in many different facets of law.
