Designed as an introduction to the most common issues that human resources (HR) professionals address on a routine basis, each briefing will review one of six fundamental areas of employment law. These courses are designed for those who are new to the HR field, but can also serve as refreshers for those who have previous experience in HR activities.

This session will provide an overview of the Family Medical Leave Act, including covered employers, eligibility for employees, and qualifying conditions. In addition, we will also discuss the certification process and look at some common questions that arise pre- and post- certification when dealing with requests for FMLA.
