Mr. Crosby's intellectual property litigation experience includes matters relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition. He handles cases for both individuals and corporations, including declaratory judgment and infringement actions. Mr. Crosby also counsels clients regarding their intellectual property and how best to preserve, protect and maximize intellectual property assets. Mr. Crosby also guides clients, including social media providers, on the use of copyrighted materials and images, and compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
His technology matters include counseling and litigation regarding technology purchases, licensing and disputes regarding ownership and theft of company assets including software and data. Mr. Crosby also addresses cybersecurity needs for his clients including data security planning and responding to cyber threats including data breaches, ransomware and DDoS attacks. He co-founded Baker Donelson's Cybersecurity Accelerator (2015 – 2018) and Cybercon Cybersecurity Conference (2015 – 2019).
Mr. Crosby acts as a counselor and external general counsel for ongoing businesses and growth-oriented companies, assisting them with formation, operating agreements, employment strategies, intellectual property issues and litigation management.
He practices extensively in federal and state courts throughout the country and is also licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
