Defended an ICC arbitration and two appeals to the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in securing confirmation of an international arbitral award on behalf of a state-owned petroleum company, which resulted in the dismissal of more than $100 million in breach of contract and tort claims arising out of the sale of multiple gasoline shipments, and ordered reimbursement to the client of more than $730,000 in attorneys' fees and costs.

Represented a state-owned oil company in breach of contract claims arising out of the purchase of crude oil and related antitrust disputes.
Defended a Mexican fabrication company against claims arising out of a platform construction and transportation contract.

For the past 30 years Mr. Davis has represented marine, energy and insurance clients in arbitration and litigation matters.

Mr. Davis is bilingual (English and Spanish) and has a working knowledge of French and Portuguese. He has been awarded the AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory which is the highest possible rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
