Sheena assists clients in commercial real estate matters, as well as in a variety of transactional matters ancillary to commercial real estate transactions. She advises businesses on the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial properties, and she counsels institutional lenders and investors in financing matters. Utilizing her understanding of the intersection of real estate law and corporate law, Sheena guides her clients through the life cycle of commercial real property transactions by drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, conducting due diligence, including examining title and preparing title objections and title clearance documents, preparing closing documents and instruments, and undertaking post-closing responsibilities to successfully convey commercial property in a manner best suited for her clients and their corporate structures.
Prior to joining the Firm, she served as a law clerk for Judge Kimberly M. Esmond Adams at the Superior Court of Fulton County and at the Georgia Office of Capital Defenders, where she represented clients in capital cases. Sheena is very active in the Georgia and South Asian legal communities and currently serves on the Atlanta Bar Association Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the South Asian Bar Association of Georgia, currently serving as president. In her spare time, Sheena offers pro bono representation for underrepresented clients and mentorship for diverse law students and junior attorneys.
