Ms. Miller has helped clients through the heavily regulated and often confusing health law and health care litigation landscape for more than 30 years. Before practicing law, she worked for more than a decade as a registered nurse, including serving as a director of nursing.
She represents hospitals, home health agencies, long-term care facilities, and other related health care providers. Ms. Miller's experience stretches across the health care spectrum, and she represents health care providers in a variety of health-law–related issues, including federal and state fraud and abuse investigations, regulatory compliance, and public and private reimbursement issues.
Her extensive litigation and trial experience includes qui tam litigation and Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse investigations, such as internal investigations, self-disclosures, and negotiations with the OIG and DOG. She also advises clients on patient rights and research issues and has been a South Carolina certified mediator and has experience as an arbitrator, currently serving on the AHLA arbitration panel.
