Mark P. Schnapp Joins Baker Donelson's Government Enforcement and Investigations Group

Mark P. Schnapp, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida with more than 40 years of governmental and private practice litigation experience, has joined Baker Donelson's Government Enforcement and Investigations Group.

Joining as special counsel in the Firm's Fort Lauderdale office, Mr. Schnapp concentrates his practice on white collar criminal matters and complex civil litigation. He advises boards, audit committees and special committees on fraud and abuse and compliance issues. His experience includes seven years at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida, where he was chief of the Criminal Division and the Public Corruption Section. He later joined the Miami office of Greenberg Traurig, where he served as co-chair of the firm's white collar practice.

Mr. Schnapp is the second former Assistant U.S. Attorney with significant private practice experience to join the Firm's Government Enforcement and Investigations Group this month. These are the latest in a number of recent additions to the Firm's growing Government Enforcement and Investigations Group. In the last two years the group has expanded with attorneys joining across Baker Donelson's footprint, including Tallahassee, Florida; Baltimore, Maryland; Knoxville and Memphis, Tennessee; and Washington, D.C. With the addition of Mr. Schnapp, the practice group now includes 14 former U.S. Attorneys and Assistant U.S. Attorneys.

He is former president of the Assistant United States Attorneys Association and former chairman of the Security and Fraud Prevention Committee of the Florida International Bankers Association.
