Professional Biography

Justin Daniel's extensive experience representing clients in complex federal and state litigation and managing all aspects of eDiscovery allows him to efficiently manage the discovery process as an experienced litigator would. Justin believes that the portion of a client's litigation budget allocated to eDiscovery can and should advance the client's goals far beyond simply making a defensible and timely production. In managing eDiscovery and document review projects, Justin uses established process and applied experience to bridge the legal and technology gap. He designs innovative solutions to find the key facts faster, while managing the overall project spend and complying with the obligation to make a reasonable and defensible production.

As an experienced trial attorney, Justin knows firsthand the importance of eDiscovery for finding the case facts – not just for producing documents to the opposing party. Moreover, this litigation background positions Justin to be an effective advocate on any issues where eDiscovery arises. He has worked on a broad range of matters including mergers and acquisitions in both the health care and banking areas; federal and state civil and criminal investigations; high-stakes construction litigation; insurance defense litigation; medical malpractice litigation; and commercial lending litigation including claims under TILA and various state lending laws.

His innate passion for technology led Justin early in his career to find innovative ways to improve his advocacy for his clients. For instance, while working at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Justin designed a damage calculation worksheet that was widely adopted throughout the agency in housing and mortgage related matters. He applies this passion for process-based and technologically-enabled solutions for clients to his eDiscovery role. By implementing the latest developments in available technology, he is able to find ways to maximize the impact of his client's discovery budget. Justin works closely with trial teams, using his technical background and knowledge to bridge the gap between discovery and client advocacy.
