Professional Biography


Mr. DeLuca assists clients with various types of business needs, from complex litigation matters and business disputes, to day-to-day business needs. His experience includes commercial disputes, construction disputes, and breach of contract actions, as well as white-collar criminal business cases and RICO claims. He has appeared before and tried cases in both state and federal courts.

  • Defended a client in federal court in construction related disputes stemming from the construction of a $25 billion nuclear power plant.

  • Defended a client in a mineral rights dispute over valuable deposits of lignite coal used to fuel a state-of-the-art integrated combined-cycle gasification power plant.

  • Represented a health care provider in a negligent/wrongful death case, obtaining a zero-dollar defense verdict after a five-day trial; sat second chair and cross-examined multiple key witnesses.

  • Represented several physicians on breach of partnership agreement claims and obtained judicial decree holding client's adverse non-compete provisions to be unenforceable.

  • Represented a major bank in a contract dispute related to a complex synthetic fraud scam involving multiple businesses across the greater Atlanta area.

  • Represented a high-profile client in a federal indictment, including drafting multiple motions, and a multi-day evidentiary hearing resulting in the suppression of substantial evidence.

  • Represented a top recording label and major entertainer in a dispute against other entertainers in a multi-million dollar vicarious liability and RICO action, including the preparation and taking of confidential depositions and hearings and the successful dismissal of RICO claims.

  • Represented the State of Georgia in an election challenge brought by a presidential candidate in 2020, successfully obtaining dismissals of both state and federal challenges.
