Mr. Chbeir also helps employers acquire employment-based visas for key employees to work in the United States.

"Joey brings extensive experience in a range of immigration issues that will be invaluable to both domestic and foreign clients. Through an in-depth understanding of the complexities of global personnel processes, he will work closely with other members of our Immigration Team to provide cost-effective and streamlined immigration solutions to businesses relying on foreign talents or pursuing a multinational growth strategy," said Jenna Bedsole, chair of Baker Donelson's Labor & Employment Group and a shareholder in the Firm's Birmingham office.

He has wide-ranging experience in issues relating to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

John M. Scannapieco, chair of the Firm's Global Business Team, said, "With his strong international background, Joey offers a skillset that is essential to businesses as they navigate the sanctions and anti-corruption matters that clients may face when doing business around the world. Joey's addition marks an expansion of our capabilities in the MENA region. He shares the commitment of our global business practice to ensuring the success of our clients wherever their business takes them."

Mr. Chbeir is the Honorary Consul of Lebanon in Alabama. He has served as an Adjunct Faculty at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon, and its satellite campus in New York, and has taught international transactions and compliance courses. Mr. Chbeir is fluent in Arabic and French.
