Professional Biography


Mr. O'Hale, an associate in Baker Donelson's Business Litigation Group, assists clients across a broad range of industries at both the trial and appellate levels. He has wide-ranging experience, including contract disputes, business torts involving allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets and fraud, regulatory takings concerning real property, lease disputes, and insurance defense involving hurricane claims.

Mr. O'Hale has counseled clients throughout all stages of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, motions practice, trial, and appeal.

Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. O'Hale served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lance M. Africk, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Mr. O'Hale is fluent in French.

  • Represented homeowners in litigation against the state over property permit suspensions.

  • Represented private parties in real property federal criminal forfeiture proceedings under 21 U.S.C. § 853(n).

  • Represented various landlords and tenants in lease disputes.

  • Resolved a Title IX misconduct case involving a large public university.

  • Represented a limited liability company member in litigation concerning the dissolution of the company.

  • Defended corporate owners against criminal charges of conspiracy and violating gambling laws.
