Professional Biography


In addition to her employment litigation practice, Emma Davis also helps advise companies as to issues related to employee disability and medical leave, termination of employment and employee discipline, and company policies and procedures. Ms. Davis frequently revises employee handbooks and prepares required employee documentation.

Higher Education and Title IX Compliance

Ms. Davis is also a member of the Firm's Higher Education Group, and she assists educational institutions in Title IX compliance, including drafting Title IX policies and procedures and training of Title IX staff. She also has experience conducting investigations of claims of sexual misconduct involving students and faculty/staff.

Eminent Domain

Ms. Davis has also represented municipalities and governmental agencies in eminent domain negotiations and litigation concerning the taking of private property for various public projects.

Speaking and Training

Ms. Davis is a frequent speaker and author on various employment and Title IX topics. She provides employee on-site training on topics of sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other employment issues in the workplace, in addition to training on Title IX compliance and policy implementation.
