Overview

As a member of the Advocacy Department, Ciera has a diverse practice that focuses on complex commercial litigation, with a heavy emphasis on complex and catastrophic injury matters in the areas of product liability, premises liability, civil rights/section 1983 matters, transportation, and bad faith litigation.

Ciera is part of a national trial team that routinely defends high exposure jury trials with multimillion dollar demands. In her role as national trial counsel, Ciera has assisted in parachuting into more than 50 multimillion dollar matters already set for trial. She works directly with clients in preparing for trial; examines and cross-examines witnesses during the trial; and engages in motions practice before, during, and after trial. In addition, Ciera also serves as the primary day-to-day attorney on various litigation cases across the region. Her trial experience and work on high exposure cases make her uniquely qualified to assist in the handling of various complex litigation matters across the country.

During law school, Ciera interned with the Florida State University College of Law's Public Interest Law Center where she gained valuable oral argument experience handling social security filings, hearings, and appeals.
