Christine White has been assisting clients in every stage of labor and employment matters for the last 18 years. Representing primarily employers in the private sector, Ms. White works with clients from counseling through litigation and trial or arbitration. Companies rely on her to keep them compliant and manage their risks with ever-changing employment laws.
Ms. White's broad litigation experience includes representing employers against claims of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religious, and disability discrimination as well as breach of contract, retaliation, defamation, harassment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress claims. As an experienced advocate for employers, Ms. White has successfully defended clients in cases involving critical workplace issues at the federal and state levels including the defense of EEOC, DOL and other administrative charges filed in federal and state agencies, as well as defense of legal claims filed in court and in arbitration.
Ms. White has extensive experience with wage and hour compliance and litigation, representing employers in numerous individual, mass plaintiff, and collective actions in addition to handling United States Department of Labor audits and investigations for companies. She also frequently handles cases involving restrictive covenants including interpretation, compliance and enforcement matters. Ms. White's wide-ranging experience in trials, arbitrations and hearings on behalf of myriad employers has provided her with institutional knowledge in many industries including health care, banking, energy, retail and hospitality, which uniquely positions her to understand and navigate a broad range of issues across a diverse cross-section of businesses.
As part of her practice, Ms. White also provides counseling and compliance advice to clients and assists businesses before an employment decision is undertaken to give them perspectives and insights on risk management techniques and critical considerations to minimize potential liability. She has also represented clients in developing policies and procedures and in providing training to management, supervisory, and non-supervisory personnel on employment and labor topics, including corporate compliance issues.
Ms. White is a certified mediator and has participated in mediations and arbitrations in a wide range of employment and business-related disputes.
