Christine Ryan focuses her practice on a variety of real estate matters, including the sale, purchase, leasing and financing of commercial properties.

Professional Biography


Ms. Ryan represents clients in a variety of commercial real estate transactions with particular emphasis on the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of high-value properties. She negotiates, drafts and reviews lease agreements for landlords and tenants and works with purchase and sale agreements, management agreements, easement agreements, and letters of intent. She also represents borrowers and lenders in real estate finance transactions and assists clients in all aspects of title and survey matters, including preparing objection letters and responses, addressing all due diligence issues, and attending to closing and post-closing matters.

Ms. Ryan received her B.A. from Amherst College and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she was an editor of the Fordham Law Review. At Amherst, Ms. Ryan was an All-American student-athlete in both field hockey and lacrosse.

Prior to moving to Atlanta and joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Ryan practiced at a global law firm in New York, and at a regional firm in Savannah, Georgia. Earlier in her career, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Callie V. S. Granade, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Alabama.

Representative Matters
  • Represented a seller in divestiture of 940,000-square foot shopping mall in Savannah.

  • Represented an investment fund in connection with acquisition of a controlling interest in the tallest building in Queens, New York with more than 1.4 million rental square feet.

  • Negotiated the acquisition and financing of shopping centers in New York, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

  • Negotiated metro Atlanta leases for an Amsterdam-based restaurant chain.

  • Represented an investment firm in $625 million capital raise for real estate fund focused on hospitality, residential land/homebuilding, and retail opportunities.
