Join Baker Donelson of counsel Dilnaz Saleem at the 2018 NACUA Annual Conference for the session "Campus Counsel's Role in an Era of Heightened Immigration Scrutiny," where she and her colleagues will provide an update on the issues currently affecting international presence in higher education and how you can best provide a holistic, welcoming environment for international students and scholars. You will learn the strategies needed in order to get your internationals into the USA and keeping them here, including the management of federal agency requests for information on international students and the handling of Title IX reporting. This session also will help you address media attention on immigration issues on your campus.

NACUA's purpose is to enhance legal assistance to colleges and universities by educating attorneys and administrators as to the nature of campus legal issues. It has an equally important role to play in the continuing legal education of university counsel. This year's Immigration Session will be part of the Lawyers New to Higher Education workshop which takes place June 23-24 and includes a foundation-building workshop designed to introduce the lawyer new to college and university law to the concepts, statues, regulations, and practical knowledge needed to navigate key areas of practice.
