Baker Donelson's Kennard Davis Selected for ABA YLD Scholarship and Leadership Academy

Baker Donelson attorney Kennard Davis has been selected as a recipient of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (ABA YLD) Scholarship and a participant in the ABA YLD Leadership Academy for the 2022 – 2024 bar years.

The ABA YLD Leadership Academy is a two-year leadership training program and a pipeline into national leadership for traditionally underrepresented attorneys. An associate in Baker Donelson's New Orleans office, Mr. Davis assists clients in a wide variety of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, environmental and energy law, and arbitration. Before joining Baker Donelson, he served as a law clerk for Judge Kern Reese in Division L of the Orleans Parish (Louisiana) Civil District Court and as an extern for Senior Judge Ivan L. R. Lemelle of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. He also served as a legal intern for Judge Regina Bartholomew-Woods in Division B of the Orleans Parish Civil District Court and Judge Edward A. Lombard of the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal.

In addition to his involvement in the ABA YLD, Mr. Davis is a member of the Defense Research Institute, where he serves in numerous leadership roles, including as chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Membership Committee, diversity liaison for the Commercial Litigation Committee, and chair of the Law Student Forum for the Diversity for Success Seminar and Corporate Expo.
