Baker Donelson's Jonathan Cole and Nancy A. Vincent Become Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediators

Baker Donelson announces that Nashville attorneys Jonathan Cole and Nancy A. Vincent have become Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediators for the state of Tennessee.

As Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediators, Mr. Cole and Ms. Vincent are able to serve as neutral parties who assist in the resolution of disputes through a voluntary settlement process that is less costly, time-consuming and adversarial than litigation. Ms. Vincent is also available to serve as an arbitrator. They are now members of Baker Donelson's Center for Dispute Resolution, a select group of more than 20 Baker Donelson attorneys with experience in a variety of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques, including mediation, conciliation, mini-trials, neutral investigations, neutral evaluations, non-binding and binding arbitration, and ADR audits.

Mr. Cole is a shareholder and a member of Baker Donelson's Financial Services Litigation Group with significant experience representing national financial institutions, broker-dealer and businesses in a variety of cases. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America® and currently serves as President of the National Conference of Bar Presidents (NCBP), which provides high-quality programming and a forum for current bar leaders from across the country and abroad to exchange best practices. Mr. Cole founded and has served as the chair of the Firm's award-winning Pro Bono program and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Tennessee Bar Foundation and the Nashville Bar Foundation. He is also a former president of the Nashville Bar Association.

Ms. Vincent is of counsel and a member of the Firm's Commercial Transactions & Business Counseling Group where she concentrates her practice in the areas of government bid disputes, state and federal procurement transactions, and administrative law. She also has an active employment and commercial litigation practice, and she has maintained such practice throughout her more than 20 years of practicing law. Ms. Vincent also has particular experience in the area of construction law, including construction litigation, as from 2003 – 2005, she served as vice president of Legal Affairs & Government Relations for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. She is also a member and former Second Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Nashville Bar Association, and was a member of the 2010 Class of Leadership Nashville, a two-term General Counsel for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Nashville Sports Authority.
