Mr. Hermandorfer is a health care advisor for hospitals and health systems with a focus on transactions, regulatory issues and other corporate matters.

Mr. Hermandorfer primarily concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures related to not-for-profit and investor-owned hospitals, ASCs, physician practices and laboratories. He has assisted in the negotiation, due diligence and closing of transactions.

He also assists health care providers with regulatory compliance and licensing issues.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hermandorfer served for five years as an officer in the United States Army, deploying for one combat tour to eastern Afghanistan.

  • Helped draft HIPAA privacy policies and procedures for a multi-facility, multi-state, long term care provider.

  • Assisted in the negotiation, due diligence, and closing of health care transactions, including psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes, and physician practices.

  • Assisted publicly traded company in restructuring of one division of the company to comply with the corporate practice of medicine doctrine.

  • Helped an electronic medical record vendor analyze its obligations under the GDPR and to revise its website terms of use and privacy notices.

  • Represented numerous skilled nursing facilities in their negotiations with Medicare Advantage Plans.

  • Advised a health care staffing agency through its acquisition of a market competitor.

  • Helped ensure compliance of numerous ambulatory surgery centers with federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws.

  • Assisted in representing a $2 billion health system in various regulatory matters before the Department of Health and the Federal Trade Commission.
