(New Orleans, LA / September 17, 2013) Baker Donelson is pleased to announce that Nancy Scott Degan assumed the role of Chair-Elect for the American Bar Association's (ABA) Section of Litigation at the conclusion of the 2013 ABA Annual Meeting.
Ms. Degan will serve a one year term as Chair-Elect of the ABA's Section of Litigation, the organization's largest section specialty group, before assuming the role of Chair at the 2014 ABA Annual Meeting. She has previously served in various other positions for the ABA Section of Litigation, most recently completing her term as Vice-Chair from 2012-2013.
A shareholder in the New Orleans office of Baker Donelson, Ms. Degan serves on the Firm's Board of Directors and has extensive experience representing clients in various business disputes, including those concerning oil and gas interests, shareholder actions and other securities and contract litigation.
