Louann Prater Smith Quoted in Times Free Press on Chattanooga Plant Project

Plastic Omnium, a French manufacturer of fenders and bumpers that is planning to build an Enterprise South industrial park factory to service Volkswagen and other automakers, recently won approval from a Chattanooga panel for its $70 million plant project. In this Times Free Press article, Louann Prater Smith comments on the role tax incentives played in Plastic Omnium's selection of Chattanooga for the new plant.

"These incentives were crucially important to the company coming here," Ms. Smith said, noting that companies such as Plastic Omnium are responsible to their shareholders to try to get the best deal.
