Mr. Beckman represents developers and owners in connection with assisted living, nursing home and long-term health care development and operations at locations throughout the country. He was selected by Business Tennessee magazine as one of the 150 Most Influential Commercial Real Estate Individuals in Tennessee.
Mr. Beckman also handles all types of lending and financing transactions, representing regional and national lenders as well as borrowers as a part of a team of more than 20 lawyers at Baker Donelson handling real estate finance and commercial lending transactions. These transactions include corporate finance, real estate finance, securitized loans, loans from governmental entities (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD), accounts receivable loans, securitizations, bond financing and other loans.
Mr. Beckman handles purchases and sales of businesses throughout the country. These include sales involving public as well as privately held companies and representation of both buyers and sellers. The transactions include a wide variety of industries, including nursing home and assisted living industries, textiles, computer and computer services, transportation, beverage, foundry, drug and pharmaceutical, industrial pipe, electrical parts supply and distribution, power supply and distribution, printing, parking, medical supply, energy supply and distribution, boat and leisure craft, chemical and chemical supply, and confectionary.
