(Birmingham, AL/June 22, 2012) Edward P. Meyerson of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC, has been named the recipient of the 2012 American Subcontractors Association of Alabama Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mr. Meyerson was recognized at the ASA of Alabama's annual industry awards banquet on June 19, which honored several individuals and companies in the construction industry. The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual whose career and achievements have contributed significantly to the overall improvement of the construction industry and who has been a positive example to the industry, acting with professionalism and integrity in their profession and in their personal life.
Mr. Meyerson is a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Birmingham office, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law, litigation, and mediation and arbitration. He has been recognized as a leading construction attorney in numerous publications, including Alabama Super Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business and International Who's Who of Construction Lawyers. Mr. Meyerson is a charter member of the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Advisory Board and a former member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Construction Lawyers. He is also a member of the National Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators of the American Arbitration Association.
