Overview

Ms. Jarrott is a litigator who has more than 15 years of experience assisting clients in a variety of industries including energy, transportation, and other commercial businesses. Ms. Jarrott focuses her practice on helping businesses resolve disputes with particular experience in complex commercial litigation, transactional and regulatory matters. A large portion of Ms. Jarrott's practice focuses on commercial contracts, including review and input on provisions that protect her clients' businesses and operational concerns, as well as defending businesses should a dispute arise.

Ms. Jarrott served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Hodges, Jr., United States Court of Federal Claims.

  • Represented railroad service company in reviewing and negotiating master services agreement and other service contracts.

  • Assisted motor-carrier client with developing a master services agreement to be used with third-party vendors, with particular emphasis on indemnity provisions that protect the client.

  • Represented an industry trade association as amicus curiae in a lawsuit involving the interpretation of mineral lessee's rights pursuant to the Louisiana Mineral Code.

  • Represented an oil and gas client with operations on the OCS with an appeal of civil penalty before the Interior Board of Land Appeals (IBLA).

  • Represented an oil and gas client in a case involving alleged environmental contamination (soil and groundwater contamination) from historical oil and gas operations regarding an oilfield in Cameron, Louisiana.
