Topic: "Who is Liable for Speech in Cyberspace??
(Memphis, TN/May 15, 2007) On May 24, the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC will host a roundtable discussion as part of the American Bar Association's Intellectual Property litigation series. "Who is Liable for Speech in Cyberspace?" will focus on the scope of liability of internet access service providers for the content posted on web sites. In particular, the event will explore the immunity from civil liability provided by the Communications Decency Act of 1996, 47 U.S. Code Section 240. Grady M. Garrison, an intellectual property attorney in Baker Donelson's Memphis office, will moderate the event.
The roundtable will be held at Baker Donelson's downtown Memphis office at 165 Madison Avenue on the 20th floor beginning at noon. There is no charge for the event, and lunch will be provided.
