(Nashville, Tenn./Jan. 12, 2012) Three attorneys with the law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC have been named "Law Leaders Rising" by the Nashville Post.
Ben H. Bodzy, Claire Cowart Haltom and Hans Schmidt were selected for inclusion in the Nashville Post's first "Law Leaders Rising" list, which recognized 21 Nashville attorneys as fast-rising legal stars. Honorees were selected based on dozens of local attorney interviews conducted by the Nashville Post along with independent research by the publication. All three attorneys are associates in Baker Donelson's Nashville office.
Mr. Bodzy, a 2004 graduate of Southern Methodist University Law School, focuses his practice on labor law with a focus on representation of management in traditional labor matters and litigation relating to post-employment restrictive covenants. He serves on the National Federation of Independent Business Labor Advisory Council and has served as chairman of the board for the Fannie Battle Day Home.
Ms. Haltom concentrates her practice on the legal, regulatory and business issues related to health care services. A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, she serves as chairman of the American Heart Association (Middle Tennessee Affiliate) Young Professional Board and is an advisory board member for the Young Jacksonian Society at the Hermitage, the home of President Andrew Jackson. She is currently vice chair of the American Health Lawyers Association's Teaching Hospitals & Academic Medical Centers Practice Group.
Mr. Schmidt, a 2005 graduate of Samford University Cumberland School of Law, practices a variety of commercial and business litigation, including breach of contract, unfair competition, trade secrets, financial litigation, and commercial real property disputes. He is a graduate of the Nashville Young Leaders Council and is serving as president of Lockeland Springs Neighborhood Association. He was also selected to participate in the Nashville Emerging Leaders class of 2012.
