Another Firm Attorney Confirmed as LEED Accredited Professional

(Birmingham, AL/July 8, 2009) Trevor T. Jones of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has been confirmed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. The LEED Professional Accreditation indicates that a person has the knowledge and skills to facilitate the integrated design process and streamline the LEED certification process. The LEED certification process provides independent, third-party verification that a building project meets green building and performance measures by the USGBC. Nationally, fewer than 300 attorneys are LEED AP accredited.

A graduate of the Cumberland School of Law, Mr. Jones is an associate in the Firm's Birmingham office, where he concentrates his practice in real estate and finance. Before law school, Mr. Jones earned a B.A. in English from the University of Georgia. According to the USGBC's online directory, Mr. Jones is one of only four Alabama attorneys who are LEED AP accredited. He joins two other Baker Donelson attorneys, Kevin R. Garrison and Stephen K. Pudner, who earned their LEED AP accreditation earlier this year.

"We are proud that Trevor has achieved LEED accreditation. He is uniquely qualified to offer counsel to clients in commercial real estate and leasing transactions regarding the LEED certification process and requirements," said Chervis Isom, shareholder in Baker Donelson's Birmingham office and a member of the Real Estate practice group. "With Trevor's addition to this select group of Accredited Professionals, we at Baker Donelson continue to expand our abilities in the LEED field, with attorneys in both the Real Estate and Construction groups who have the knowledge and skills necessary to coordinate and streamline the integrated design and LEED certification process."
