Tax Inversions are a hot political issue. Some speculate that companies moving offshore will potentially cause the U.S. treasury to lose an extra $130 billion, which leads to the argument that offshore movement should stop. Others suggest that our outdated systems burden corporate entities and advocate for the growth of overseas business to even the playing field.

Attendees of the October NACD luncheon, led by Baker Donelson shareholder Mark Carlson, will be able to explore the legal, political, tax, logistical and reputational issues for companies considering moving their business offshore. Mark will be joined by U.S. Senate Committee on Finance Tax Counsel, John Anthony Coughlin, and public accountant, David Sites.
