Steven W. King, an associate in the Memphis office, is a member of the Advocacy Department. As a litigator, he works on government investigations, construction litigation and health care matters. Mr. King has significant experience representing clients from the inception of litigation to conclusion. He has litigated cases in both state and federal court.

Before joining Baker Donelson, Mr. King was Law Clerk to Judge Robert Wedemeyer, Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. 

Representative Matters

  • Obtained involuntary dismissal during bench trial of malicious prosecution case.
  • Obtained dismissal of class action lawsuit alleging widespread discrimination against municipal entity.
  • Obtained a jury verdict in favor of a municipal entity in an alleged $4.5 million dollar breach of contract lawsuit.
  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of a municipal entity in an alleged medical malpractice lawsuit.
  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of an insurer in an alleged "bad faith" lawsuit.
  • Obtained dismissal of claim for injunctive relief in an alleged mortgage fraud case.
