Scott W. Pedigo Named Managing Shareholder of Baker Donelson's Jackson Office

(Jackson, MS / April 1, 2015) Scott W. Pedigo has been named managing shareholder for the Jackson office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC. Mr. Pedigo assumes the role held for eight years by William S. Painter, who will continue his corporate practice with the Firm. 

"Our office has seen tremendous growth and success under Bill's leadership," said Mr. Pedigo. "He has contributed a great deal to Baker Donelson and to the local community and I look forward to building on his accomplishments and continuing to move our Firm forward." 

While serving as office managing shareholder, Mr. Pedigo will maintain his litigation practice where he represents manufacturing and commercial clients in employment, consumer products liability and commercial litigation matters. He also regularly assists clients with appropriately addressing and limiting the risks associated with difficult employment issues and investigations, contract disputes, product safety concerns and recalls. Mr. Pedigo, who holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV Rating, has been recognized as a leading commercial litigation lawyer by Best Lawyers in America® since 2013 and was named to Portico Magazine's "Portico 10" and to Mississippi Business Journal's "Top 40 Under 40" in 2013. 

A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, Mr. Pedigo currently serves on the University of Mississippi's Law Alumni board of directors. He is an active member of the Mississippi Bar Association, and is also a member of DRI, the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the American Health Law Association, and the Alabama, Capital Area, Federal and American Bar Associations. 

One of Mr. Pedigo's first tasks will be overseeing the office's relocation to Jackson's new office building at The District at Eastover, which the Firm will move into this fall, anchoring the northern end of the mixed-use development.
