Scott N. Sherman Renominated to Anti-Defamation League's Southeastern Region Board of Directors

(Atlanta, GA/December 19, 2011) Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, is pleased to announce that Scott N. Sherman, of counsel in the Firm's Atlanta office, has been renominated to serve a two-year term on the board of directors of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL)'s Southeastern Region. He is a current board member and previously served on the Legislative Affairs Committee. The ADL fights anti-Semitism and bigotry though information, education, legislation and advocacy.

Mr. Sherman's law practice focuses on securities litigation. He represents public companies, directors and officers in securities class actions and derivatives lawsuits, and special litigation committees, as well as companies and individuals involved in SEC and FINRA informal and formal enforcement proceedings. Additionally, Mr. Sherman handles financial services litigation and arbitrations, such as representing banks involved in litigation and regulatory matters, representing accounting firms in litigation, and representing broker-dealers and registered representatives in FINRA arbitrations and investment advisers in court proceedings. He handles complex commercial matters as well, including representation of private companies, their partners or members in business disputes. Mr. Sherman has been selected as one of "Georgia's Legal Elite" by Georgia Trend Magazine (2011) and was named a Georgia Rising Star in Securities Litigation by Georgia Super Lawyers (2010 and 2011).

Now the nation's premier civil rights/human relations agency, the ADL fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights for all.
