Sam Blair, General Counsel and shareholder in the Memphis office, concentrates his practice in litigation. Mr. Blair has extensive litigation experience in the areas of medical device, pharmaceutical drug, products liability, mass tort, MDL, professional liability and general business litigation. Mr. Blair was very involved in the breast implant litigation and orthopedic bone/spinal screw litigation. He has been national coordinating counsel in the Children's Vaccine, Fen-Phen, HRT and AWP litigation. Mr. Blair has represented clients in insurance coverage, non-compete contract and wrongful death cases. He also has experience regarding environmental issues, condemnation and real estate litigation. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. Blair served as a law clerk to Appellate Court Judge W. Frank Crawford in the Western Section of the Tennessee Court of Appeals from 1983 to 1984. Mr. Blair was chairman of the Conflicts and Ethics Committee for approximately 15 years, claims counsel since 2002 and General Counsel since January 1, 2005 for the Firm.
