Scam Alert: Award Claim Notification
It has come to our attention that Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC has been included in an award claim scam. This scam falsely claims that the recipient is a winner in a lottery and sweepstakes drawing and has been awarded a sum of money based on this drawing, and includes a forged check and false notification letter, allegedly from the firm, example attached.
Baker Donelson is not issuing these letters or checks, the "Baker Donelson" checks are forged and will not be honored by the bank, and the scam is attempting to obtain money from you under false pretenses. Please do not respond or send money to anyone that you do not know.

Scam Alert: False Debt Collection Calls
It has come to our attention that Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC's name is being used in a telephone financial scam. This scam involves phone calls from persons falsely claiming that they are affiliated with Baker Donelson's Montgomery office, and that the recipient of the call owes a debt that the person must pay immediately or be arrested and jailed. The callers provide instructions that they claim must be followed immediately to pay the alleged debt. The callers appear to have personal financial information about the victims.
Baker Donelson is not placing these calls. The calls are being made by scammers attempting to obtain money from those called under false pretenses. Please do not respond or send money to anyone that you do not know.
