A/R Manager

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for an A/R Manager in its Memphis office. At least 3 years collection experience is required. This position will handle collections for multiple locations. Responsibilities include: information input, updating database, supporting attorneys and administrative staff in the collections of past due bills, keeping management apprised of the collection status and risk of accounts and managing problem accounts. Must be detail oriented and work well under pressure. Candidate should have excellent communication, computer entry skills and accuracy, ability to solve problems, and strong interpersonal skills. Windows '98/'2000, Word, Outlook, Excel, experience preferred. Excellent benefits include paid parking. Salary requirements must be included to be considered.

Assistant Database Administrator

Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell and Berkowitz. PC has an immediate opening for an assistant to the database administrator in its Memphis office. Responsibilities will include

  • Maintenance of the Firm's standard and billing databases.
  • Planning data flows for new and revised database.
  • Installing and testing new database systems and applications.
  • Controlling database access permissions and privileges.
  • Assessing user requirements and resolving user issues.
  • Ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.
  • Working closely with IT project managers, database programmers and web developers.
  • Communicating regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff, to ensure the database integrity and security.
  • Maintaining detailed working knowledge of the firm's financial database software and financial data warehouse software.
  • Developing and maintaining Firm specific financial and management applications and reports.

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Networks, Microsoft Windows Desktop, Microsoft Windows Sever, Microsoft SQL Server, data warehousing, web publishing, report development.

Training Specialist

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for a Training Specialist in its Memphis office. The training specialist is responsible for delivering training and support services to the Firm’s employees. The training specialist will work with subject matter experts and the Content Developer to develop learning objectives, lesson plans, and documentation, and collaborate with the training manager in the design and implementation of training programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers instructor-led training and web-based conferencing to learners of various skill levels and in all positions
  • Presents seminars, workshops, or briefings to large audiences
  • Provides one-on-one performance support to individual learners
  • Partners with subject matter experts to develop course curriculum, including teaching aids, course outlines, exercises, reference guides, and other training content
  • Assists in the maintenance of the Firm’s learning management system, and in tracking courses and registrations
  • Masters new technology and internal processes

Qualified candidates will have three years of experience delivering classroom training, preferably in the legal industry, with working knowledge of adult learning concepts, a degree in Adult Education, related field, or equivalent experience, a solid understanding of current technology. and ability to learn new technologies and training methodologies rapidly. Advanced skill level in the Microsoft Office 2010, Hummingbird DM, and InterAction and experience with learning management systems and assessments a plus.

Cisco Telecommunications Engineer

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for a Cisco Telecommunications Engineer in its Memphis office. The Cisco Telecommunications Engineer will provide assistance in all aspects of maintaining, configuring and sustaining the Cisco VoIP network, including: network design, implementation, maintenance of existing networks, upgrading/configuration and installation of Cisco hardware. In addition, the Engineer will utilize a broad knowledge of network communications and local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) operations to ensure optimum configuration and operation of all related systems.

Responsibilities will include all aspects of maintaining, configuring, and sustaining the Cisco VoIP network, analyzing business requirements in order to design and implement an infrastructure solution using Cisco technologies, designing, optimizing, implementing and troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communication Solutions including Call Processing, Voicemail, Voice Gateways and LAN/WAN infrastructure, delivering related Network Engineering services associated with the planning, deployment, installation, administration and management of data, voice, and video networks, administering and managing Cisco hardware / software to support voice and video clients.

3-5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in CME, CUCM, Unity and Unified Messaging, voice Gateways (analog, digital and SIP) and dial plan design, quality of Service (Campus and WAN), current CCNP Voice / CCVP is desirable. Knowledge and experience in IP video conferencing solutions. Cisco/Tanberg experience preferred.

Demonstrated strong and current technical experience of VoIP technologies, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes as they pertain to voice and video services.

Systems Engineer

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, and Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in its Memphis, TN office. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the firm's servers, VMWare environment and Storage platforms. This position will also assist in the management functions for the Firm's Data Centers. This role will be directly involved in the day-to-day activities of the Data Center. This position will also enforce, instill and document IT best practices, policies and procedures as they relate to the Firm's data centers.

Responsibilities will include performing data center activities, including physical installation and cabling of new hardware, performing root cause analysis for VMware ESX hosts, Virtual Center and Linux and Windows VMs,
providing support in configuration, performance monitoring, back-ups, reporting problem identification, management, and resolution for the VMware environment. Other duties will include designing, implementing, and managing SAN infrastructures (Compellant), implementing industry best practices improving storage optimization and performance tuning, implementing industry best practices improving storage security to ensure data assets remain protected at all times, and maintaining enterprise class storage infrastructure to support virtualization infrastructure including strong experience with Windows systems infrastructure as required.

A strong background with Data Center/VMware, SAN Infrastructures (Compellant), Enterprise Backups, Exchange 2010 and the ability to work in a 24x7 team environment. ITIL knowledge and experience is a plus.
