Monica A. Frois to Join Board of Save Our Cemeteries

(New Orleans, LA/December 19, 2011) Monica A. Frois, of the law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has accepted a nomination from the Save Our Cemeteries (SOC) Board for a three-year Board term commencing January 1, 2012. The SOC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the 31 historic cemeteries of New Orleans. SOC offers regular cemetery tours, lectures and programming for members and the general public, and does restoration of abandoned tombs.
A shareholder in the Firm's New Orleans office, Ms. Frois has 20 years of experience in health care matters as well as complex litigation, insurance issues, legal ethics and professional responsibility litigation. She represents health care systems, hospital service districts, hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and numerous other health care providers in operational, compliance, regulatory and transactional issues as well as a wide variety of litigation. She has served on the Medical/Legal Interprofessional Committee of the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Louisiana State Bar Association and was appointed vice chair of membership for the Medical Defense & Health Law Committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel.
