Meredith L. Williams Wins Prestigious International Legal Technology Association Award

(Memphis, TN/September 6, 2011) Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, is pleased to announce that Meredith L. Williams has been recognized by the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) with a 2011 Distinguished Peer Award. ILTA's Distinguished Peer Award program recognizes premiership and provides a forum for peer-nominated, peer-judged innovations in technology.

Ms. Williams, who was recognized with ILTA's Young Professional of the Year Award, is Baker Donelson's Chief Knowledge Management Officer and is located in the Firm's Memphis office. She oversees BakerNet, the Firm's industry-leading intranet, and coordinates strategic growth on behalf of the Firm in knowledge management, competitive intelligence and technology. A 2002 graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, Ms. Williams is widely recognized as a leading authority in knowledge management issues for the legal field, and is a frequent presenter and author on knowledge management and competitive intelligence. She was recently elected to a two-year term as a member of the ILTA Board of Directors.

ILTA's Distinguished Peer Awards program honors the achievements of ILTA members who are making technology work for the legal profession. The program recognizes those who have delivered great business value and transformational impact through their innovations and implementations or have been champions in specific areas of focus for their organizations. Within ILTA's member community, the awards recognize outstanding achievements in organizational and individual excellence.

Recipients were presented their awards during the inaugural award ceremony on August 25, 2011, in conjunction with ILTA's annual educational conference, ILTA 2011, held in Nashville, Tennessee.
