Jennifer R. Crowson, of counsel in the Firm's Jackson office, practices in the public finance area. Ms. Crowson has extensive experience in all types of government financings, serving as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, issuer's counsel or trustee's counsel in numerous issues, including structured financings, general obligation bonds, refunding bonds, industrial development revenue bonds, hospital revenue bonds, tax increment financing bonds and lease-purchase transactions. Experienced in public law, she has represented several governmental organizations, drafted both general and local and private legislation and handled transactions related to outstanding bonds such as defeasances and substitutions of credit facilities. Ms. Crowson also has experience in federal tax law applicable to governmental obligations, including qualified private activity bonds for nonprofit health care organizations and other 501(c)(3) entities.
