David E. Fielder is managing shareholder in the Firm's Knoxville office. He concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, UCC, corporate law, partnership law, limited liability company law and commercial bankruptcy. Mr. Fielder has represented owners, developers and tenants of office buildings, shopping centers, multi-family housing, manufacturing facilities and warehouse facilities in all aspects of acquisition, construction, financing, sale and leasing of such properties. Mr. Fielder also has represented lenders and owners in construction litigation, lien priority claims and commercial bankruptcies.
Mr. Fielder has extensive experience in commercial lending and construction lending representing both lenders and borrowers as well as foreclosure on commercial real estate, subdivisions and workouts of distressed projects.

Sale of the Tennessee Valley Authority headquarters building in Knoxville, Tennessee to TVA;

Acquisition, construction and leasing of five Class A office buildings and two shopping centers for a real estate development company in Knoxville, Tennessee;

Purchase, leasing and subsequent sale of the SunTrust Bank Building in Nashville, Tennessee;

Merger of a major real estate developer with a publicly traded REIT, which involved in excess of $500 million with projects located in 12 states;

Acquisition and development of a multi-use commercial real estate project which included a 200,000 square feet office building, retail condominiums and a hotel with an aggregate value of approximately $60,000,000;

Acquisition, development and financing of various other commercial office buildings and shopping centers in East Tennessee;

Development and financing of resort residential developments;

Negotiation of a ground lease with Knox County, Tennessee for a marina; and

Negotiation of a ground lease for a commercial office building constructed on airport property in Knoxville, Tennessee.
