Baker Donelson Recognized in 2017 Edition of Benchmark Litigation

Baker Donelson has been recognized in the 2017 edition of Benchmark Litigation, a publication focusing on leading litigation firms and attorneys in the United States.

The Firm achieved a "Highly Recommended" ranking in the state of Tennessee. Baker Donelson also earned rankings of "Highly Recommended" in Mississippi and "Recommended" in Louisiana.

Five Baker Donelson attorneys are recognized in the 2017 edition of Benchmark Litigation as "Local Litigation Stars":

  • Roy C. Cheatwood (Louisiana)
  • Nancy Scott Degan (Louisiana)
  • Samuel L. Felker (Tennessee)
  • John S. Hicks (Tennessee)
  • William N. Reed (Mississippi)

Ms. Degan is also recognized as one of the "Top 250 Women in Litigation," which honors the accomplishments of America's leading female litigators.

Benchmark Litigation identifies the leading U.S. trial attorneys and firms at the local and national levels. Focused exclusively on the U.S. litigation market, the publication's rankings and editorials are the result of extensive interviews with litigators and their clients to identify the leading litigators and firms. During these interviews, researchers examine recent casework handled by law firms and ask individual litigators to offer their professional opinions on peers. Firms in each local market that are ranked as "Highly Recommended" and "Recommended" were consistently mentioned by peers and clients, with the "Highly Recommended" firms receiving the most mentions, and being held as dominant in their particular jurisdiction. The guide's "Local Litigation Stars" reflect lawyers who are recommended consistently as reputable and effective litigators by clients and peers.
