Kent Lambert Elected as Officer of the Council of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation

(New Orleans, LA / September 9, 2013) Kent Lambert of Baker Donelson has been elected as an Officer of the Council of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Section of Litigation.

The ABA's Section of Litigation is the organization's largest specialty group, having approximately 60,000 members. Mr. Lambert will serve three years as a Council Member, his term ending at the ABA Annual Meeting in 2016.

Mr. Lambert is a shareholder in Baker Donelson's New Orleans office and the leader of the Firm's Business Litigation Group. He concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation, emphasizing civil trial work and complex litigation, complemented by an active civil appellate practice. Mr. Lambert is also the former chair of the Firm's e-Discovery and Information Management Group and has extensive experience in handling evidentiary and sanctions proceedings arising out of e-discovery disputes. 

A 1993 graduate of Tulane University Law School, Mr. Lambert has been listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading litigation attorney in Louisiana since 2010, in The Best Lawyers in America® in commercial litigation and in Louisiana Super Lawyers in business litigation law. He is an active member of the ABA's Section of Litigation and has held several positions within the section including Former Chair of the Trial Evidence Committee and the Pretrial Practice and Discovery Committee.

With nearly 400,000 members, the ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.
