Professional Biography


Ms. Carpenter has tried more than 20 cases in federal and state courts throughout Tennessee and other jurisdictions. She has represented clients before the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Tennessee Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Ms. Carpenter is the former office managing shareholder in Baker Donelson's Nashville office. She was honored to serve on the faculty of the 42nd annual IADC Trial Academy at Stanford Law School in July 2014.

  • Lead Counsel for the world's largest manufacturer of store-brand over-the-counter drugs in all phenylpropanolamine (PPA) litigation in Tennessee.

  • Lead counsel in a catastrophic personal injury premises liability case involving traumatic brain injury to a senior citizen.

  • Lead counsel in a catastrophic personal injury products liability case involving extensive third-degree burns to a minor.

  • Represented automobile manufacturers, outdoor cooking products manufacturers, elevator manufacturers and automatic door manufacturers in personal-injury products liability actions.
